About

Chris Daniels is a full-time non-union, professional Voice Actor living near Los Angeles.

He provides Voice-Over Services that include Commercials, Promos, Documentaries, Narrations, Animations, and other projects to production companies, corporations, businesses and individuals.

With degrees in Music and English, and raised in the upper south, U.S., his voice has been described as unique, guy next door, relatable, compelling, and entirely deliverable, with an inate ability to use all the constituent aspects of timbre, pitch, rhythm, dynamics, breath, timing, pronunciation, phrasing, contour, and emotion to affect the audience in a more potent way.

He has made an avocation of emulating voices since early childhood and can easily assume everything from a southern charm to a refined sophistication. With a honeyed baritenor voice, characterized by a dark, weighty lower resonance and timbre, and a ringing upper register, Chris can execute articulation with great facility, elaborate ornamentation and embellishment as needed.

Early in his career, Chris worked in radio as a News Director/DJ/Engr. for several stations, and was frequently seen onstage in theatre as well as in comedy clubs. For the past thirty years, Chris has also been an impersonator of entertainers like Neil Diamond, Elvis and many other popular entertainers and has independently produced over 300 cover songs. Since 2005 he has been a well-respected theatre critic and reviewer for southern California professional, regional and community playhouses and tours.

Fully functional in sound design, he has the capabilities to assemble and produce a product in toto. In addition, he can perform in a wide range of mediums and specialties, including animation and interactive entertainment, partially attributing much of that to decades of vocal training as well as a knack for “Second City“ improv.

For the last four years, his focus has been concentrated in training in Voice-Over Dynamics with elite mentors and coaches in the field. Since the recent completion of advanced VO courses in mid-2022, Chris has had credits for two short films in voice-over and sound FX.
